Historic Lancaster, Ohio is the stage for the annual Lancaster Festival. Managed by members of the community, the Festival is a non-profit organization, under the creative leadership of Artistic Director Gary Sheldon.

At its core is the Lancaster Festival Orchestra, winner of the 2010 American Prize for Orchestral Performance which performs at the Ohio University-Lancaster campus and venues throughout the city.
